Part-Time Order Packer — OMG Marshmallows
Student job · Guaranteed minimum 12 hours per week · Weekdays only · Hillerød · 125 DKK/hour
Who we are
OMG Marshmallows is a young Danish brand making handmade gourmet marshmallows. We sell directly to our customers through our own webshop, and everything happens under one roof at our production facility in Hillerød — from the moment a marshmallow is made to the moment a parcel leaves for the customer.
We're small and growing fast. That's not a figure of speech: there's no middle management and no department to check with. You'll work alongside the owners, and when you spot something that could be done better, you say it and we change it — usually the same week.
The job
You'll handle, pack and ship the orders our customers place in the webshop. You are the last person to touch a parcel before it reaches someone's kitchen table, which is exactly why the role matters.
- Pick, pack and ship webshop orders accurately
- Print shipping labels and prepare parcels for collection
- Keep the packing area clean, tidy and ready for the next shift
- Help with stock counts and other simple tasks around the facility when needed
- Follow our food hygiene routines — we produce food, and everything around it stays clean
No previous experience is required. We train you thoroughly, and the training is paid.
Hours you can actually count on
We guarantee at least 12 hours every week, spread across 2 weekdays. In most weeks it'll be closer to 15, and in busy periods there's more available if you want it.
Your shifts are on weekdays for a simple reason: parcels don't go out on Saturdays. We're a startup, so you'll sometimes find us here at the weekend anyway — but there'd be nothing for you to pack. Your weekends stay yours.
If you're an EU/EEA citizen, steady weekly hours at this level are the kind that can matter for SU eligibility as a worker under EU rules. We can't promise anything on that — it's assessed individually by the authorities, and it's your own thing to look into. But the guaranteed hours are built to be genuinely steady, not "up to 15."
What "responsibility" actually means here
We're not going to claim that a 12–15 hour job will decide the future of the company. But here's what's true: this part of the operation will be yours. How orders get packed, how the station is organised, which routines make a shift run smoothly — you'll shape that together with us rather than inherit a manual someone else wrote. We'd rather hire someone who improves the job than someone who only performs it.
And if you're the kind of student who has half an idea about starting something of your own one day: you'll see more of how a company actually works from our packing table than from most student jobs. Not the theory — the unglamorous version. What a return really costs. Why a shipping label breaks at the worst possible moment. What happens when a batch doesn't set the day before a campaign goes live. It's not a business degree. But it's a front-row seat, and you're welcome to ask us anything.
We're looking for someone who
- Is enrolled in an education programme and can commit to 2 fixed weekdays
- Is reliable and careful — real people are waiting for these parcels
- Is comfortable with routine work, and equally comfortable saying "this could be done better"
- Is fine with light physical work and being on their feet during a shift
- Speaks and understands English; Danish is a plus, not a requirement
- Is allowed to work in Denmark (if you're not an EU/EEA citizen, we'll need to see your residence card)
- Can commute reliably to Hillerød. We're roughly 35–40 minutes from København H on the S-train, so this works well if you study in Copenhagen — but be honest with yourself about the trip before you apply.
We offer
- 125 DKK per hour, plus holiday allowance and standard Danish employment terms
- A guaranteed minimum of 12 hours every week, typically 15
- Fixed weekdays, planned in advance, so you can build your studies around them
- Thorough paid training
- Extra hours in busy periods (Christmas, for example) if you want them
- Start date: [date], or as soon as possible
Apply
Send a short CV to Frederik at frederik@omg-marshmallows.com and answer these three questions:
